Why a Human Resource Consultant?

The whole Human Resources function is often fraught and disconcerting for many business owners. After all you started your business because you knew the business itself. As you begin adding employees, things can get more complicated. Plus, of course, California is a highly regulated state regarding workforce rules and laws that are ever-changing.
For many companies, it makes sense to outsource the human resources function to a consultant rather than to pay the expense of a full-time employee. About Me

A Passion for the People Side of Business

More than 20 years ago my love for human resources began. During that time, I have had the pleasure of working with companies such as Boys & Girls Clubs of Petaluma, USA Hosts, GMAC/ResCap, Fortiss LLC, KG Technologies and Morris Distributing.

Each company had different issues and involved a different realm of HR expertise. I became an expert as I supported them through the true labyrinth of the HR world.

In early 2019, after 20 years of providing HR services to a myriad of different companies and covering a vast variety of issues, I decided to start my own independent consulting practice.

3 Whys CONSULTING is just how it sounds. There were three motives why I chose that name … Freedom, Empowerment, Stewardship.

As a native Petaluman I am a proud member of the Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce and Board Member, Casa Grande Athletics Foundation.

This phrase captures what I do in a nutshell. I work closely with my clients to create comprehensive solutions from the very basic on up to legally and intricately complicated HR issues. Forward-thinking is the key when facing so many HR issues and serves both you and your employees far longer than any short-term band-aid!

My experience has taught me that happy employees equal more profitable businesses. There has often been a stigma on human resources comparing it to going to the “principal’s” office. It is my mission to show companies through my unique approach to HR solutions that they can have employees who willingly follow policies and procedures when they are clear and sustainable. This approach coupled with nurturing a positive culture is a recipe for success!

On the Personal Front

As a single mother, I am, of course, my son’s biggest fan! He is very active in local sports programs and has played travel baseball since he was 8 years old. You can often find us hiking at Helen Putnam park with our beloved dog Posey, camping at a local lake or supporting our many fellow athletes at their games.
